The Inspiration
Mexican restaurants are often designed to look as traditional and authentic as possible. I wanted my design to showcase authenticity but replace the traditional aspect with a more modern and contemporary design. When designing I had a more night time hangout for ages 21-30 in mind.
The Technique
When showcasing a lot of content, I used two grids to help portray different options under the “Flavored Margaritas” and “Beverages” categories. This not only made room to fit more content but it also made it easier to read the options.
The Details
The color pallet was the most important aspect of executing my vision.  Traditional Mexican restaurant colors such as red, orange, green, and yellow were something I had to avoid to achieve my goal.  In order to bring a more night time feel I incorporated colors that would typically be seen on a neon sign at night and placed them against a black background to portray a more night time feel.
